Hemp Oil vs CBD Oil
Both hemp oil and CBD oil have amazing benefits for our health, but what are the main differences between the two? Here is a quick breakdown:
Although they both come from the same plant (cannabis), hemp oil is pressed from the seeds, whereas CBD oil is an extract from the hemp plant. Both contain no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) cannabinoids or traces less than 0.3%. Hemp oil has little to no CBD, cannabinoid, in it.
Here are the main benefits of each:
Hemp Oil |
CBD Oil |
Contains vitamin E, Magnesium, Omega-3, and Omega-6 |
Helps to maintain homeostasis in the body |
Rich in amino acids and antioxidants |
Full Spectrum CBD oil may also be rich in antioxidants and nutrients |
Source of DHA |
Supports the ECS system (eating, sleeping, relaxation, recovery and cognition) |
Hemp oil is perfect for skin and hair health and can be used like you would coconut or olive oil externally. The DHA found inside is great for brain and eye retina health. The fatty acids found in hemp oil improve cardiovascular function, and promote a balance of hormones.
CBD oil contains high amounts of CBD, a phytochemical (a naturally occurring chemical from plants). CBD feeds and nourishes the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in the body. Full spectrum CBD oil is rich in nutrients providing an over-all well being.
